Fees
Tranquil Psychology offers individual therapy and comprehensive adult ADHD and Autism assessments. Fees for each service are outlined below, along with information about Medicare rebates and private health cover.
Therapy Sessions
If your GP has prepared a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per eligible session (current registered psychologist rebate under the Better Access initiative, effective 1 July 2026), bringing your out-of-pocket cost to $118.45.
The Medicare rebate is paid after each eligible session and does not cover the full cost of your appointment. If you're unsure whether you're eligible, we're happy to discuss this when you book.
You don't need a referral to book a therapy appointment. You're welcome to self-refer, or your GP or another health professional can refer you if appropriate.
Adult ADHD Assessment
A comprehensive assessment process delivered across four 60-minute assessment sessions and a 50-minute feedback session, including the DIVA-5 structured diagnostic interview, standardised questionnaires and rating scales, review of relevant history and documentation, consideration of differential diagnoses and co-occurring presentations, a comprehensive written report, and personalised recommendations.
Where an additional assessment session or cognitive assessment is clinically indicated, this will always be discussed with you before proceeding ($220 per additional session). No additional fees will be incurred without your agreement.
Adult Autism Assessment
A comprehensive assessment process delivered across four 60-minute assessment sessions and a 50-minute feedback session, including the MIGDAS-2 diagnostic interview, standardised assessment measures, review of relevant history and documentation, consideration of differential diagnoses and co-occurring presentations, a comprehensive written report, and personalised recommendations.
Where an additional assessment session or the ADOS-2 is clinically indicated, this will always be discussed with you before proceeding ($220 per additional session). No additional fees will be incurred without your agreement.
Completing Both Assessments
Clients completing both the ADHD and Autism assessments receive $400 off the second assessment. If your assessment indicates that the other condition may also warrant further exploration, we'll discuss this with you and can arrange a separate assessment if you wish to pursue formal assessment for both.
Terms: the $400 discount applies where both the Adult ADHD Assessment and the Adult Autism Assessment are booked and completed with Tranquil Psychology Perth, and is applied to the fee for whichever assessment is completed second. Both assessments must be booked within 12 months of each other. The discount applies to the assessment fee only and does not apply to additional assessment sessions, cognitive assessment, or the ADOS-2. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.
Medicare & Private Health
Adult ADHD and Autism assessments are generally not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Some private health funds may cover part of the cost. We'd recommend checking with your provider directly. If you have questions about your individual circumstances, please get in touch before booking.
Standard therapy sessions may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid GP Mental Health Care Plan, as outlined above.

Payment information and arrangements will be provided when your appointment or assessment is booked.
