Psychological Therapy

Supporting school-aged children, adolescents and adults

Whatever brings you to therapy, feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not quite yourself, the goal is the same: to help you understand what's happening, and find a way forward that feels genuinely workable for your life.

Whatever you're facing, therapy isn't just about managing symptoms. It's about better understanding yourself: your patterns, your history, and the things that genuinely help, so change feels sustainable rather than forced.

My approach

I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood and actively involved in the process. My approach is collaborative, practical and grounded in evidence. Together, we'll work to understand not only the difficulties you're experiencing, but also the strengths, values and experiences that can support meaningful and lasting change.

My work draws on:

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

understanding and shifting patterns of thinking and behaviour

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

building psychological flexibility and living in line with what matters to you

DBT-informed approaches

skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance and relationships

Trauma-informed therapy

care that's paced and grounded in safety, understanding how past experiences shape present difficulties

I aim to provide care that is collaborative, practical and neuroaffirming: working with who you are, not against it.

Who I work with

I provide therapy for school-aged children, adolescents and adults. The way therapy is delivered, the language used, the pace, and the involvement of family or caregivers, is tailored to each person's age, developmental stage and individual needs.

Frequently asked questions

No. You don't need a referral to book an appointment. You're welcome to self-refer, or your GP or another health professional can refer you if appropriate.
Typically weekly or fortnightly to begin with, adjusted based on your needs.
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available where clinically appropriate, offering flexibility if you're unable to attend in person or prefer to access therapy remotely.
When working with school-aged children, parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapeutic process. The level of involvement will depend on your child's age, presenting concerns and therapeutic goals. Some appointments may involve meeting together, while others may include time with your child individually and time with you separately. Wherever appropriate, we work collaboratively to support your child's wellbeing while also respecting their developing privacy and independence. If you have questions about how this works for your family, I'm happy to discuss this before your first appointment.
